In this frame project, I was tasked with creating a wood piece that emphasizes visual interest rather than functionality. The sole purpose was to spark intrigue. I chose to use tetrahedrons because their pointed ends create focal points, drawing the eye and giving it a place to rest. My composition is one large structure with an extensive amount of negative space, highlighted by a tall, prominent tetrahedron that disrupts and adds dynamism to the piece. This project deepened my understanding of the importance of negative space, not only in physical creations like this one but also in my digital design work.
