Hey there! I'm Merrin O'Connor, born in lively Kansas City in 2002. Currently, I'm a fourth-year BFA candidate at The University of Iowa, specializing in 3D design with a minor in Communication. My journey into design began with painting on canvas and crafting whimsical decorations for my mother's glasses case. Arriving at Iowa reignited my passion for creativity, turning my early enthusiasm into a vibrant pursuit of artistic expression.
My design philosophy is characterized by simplicity and modernity, which I attribute to my frequent visits to Kansas City's renowned art museums, particularly The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I further honed my skills during my internship at Estée Lauder Companies, where I gained valuable industry experience. Looking ahead, I aim to pursue a career in product design or UX/UI design. I am eager to continue developing her skills and exploring new opportunities in these fields.
